CricSonic

Cricket, heard.

CricSonic is the first online multiplayer blind cricket game, for players who are blind or have low vision, and for anyone who wants to play with them. You hear the bowler run in and call "Play", the ball come down the pitch, and the crack of your bat. Then you call your runs.

What you can do

• Bat, bowl and field

  Time your shot to the sound of the ball. Set your line and length when you bowl. Place your field as captain.

• 3D sound

  Hear the ball bounce down the pitch, the fielders chase it, and your partner call from the other end.

• Play online

  Play friends one to one, make a team of up to six a side, or face the computer. Friends can listen in from the bench.

• Private matches

  Make a match or a team with a 4-number PIN, and only the friends you give it to can join.

• Ball-by-ball commentary

  Every shot, catch and run out called as it happens, with the colour of the match around it.

• Leaderboard

  Most runs, most wickets, best bowling, sixes, hat-tricks and points, against the best players online.

• Real rules

  Built on the rules of blind cricket: the ground, the ball, the umpires' calls, no balls, free hits and the powerplay.

• Made by a blind cricketer

  Designed by someone who plays the game at the top level, and tested by ear, ball by ball.

Get the game

Your first match

1. Create an account with your name and a password.
2. Try the keyboard tutorial (or the touch tutorial on a phone) to learn the keys one at a time.
3. In the lobby, choose Create a match, pick the overs, and play the computer or wait for a friend.
4. When you hear "Ready?", press Space. Press Space again to swing as the ball reaches you, and Enter to run.
